Secret Information - Live
SemaDenga Music (Germany) 1988
R001B (LP)
sleeve : EX-(SRW, SOC, some light dirt)
media : EX/EX (some slight surface noise)

An album released in 1988 by Müller Braig Jazz Unit, a minor German group centered around Helmuth Müller (ts) and Reinhold Braig (p, synth). Musicians Stefan Zimmermann (tp), Eberhard Budziat (tb), Uwe Frenzel (b), and Dieter Schumacher (ds) participated, but all, including the leaders, are relatively unknown artists. The album contains live recordings from a concert held in Tübingen, a city located in the center of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. While side A takes a big band-like approach, the two tracks on side B are highly recommended: B1, which opens with a duo of brightly-toned piano and a lightly melodic bass before dramatically building up, and B2, where a broad soundscape of synthesizer pads and piano leads into a spiritually unfolding, lyrical melody.

B1: Secret Information
B2: There is Only a Pretended Freedom
