This is the second leader album by Danish jazz pianist Niels Lan Doky, released in 1987. He was only 24 years old at the time of recording, but his talent is now on full display in a trio with Jack DeJohnett, who has shown off his blackness in many sessions including ECM, and Niels- Henning Orsted Pedersen, who also represents Denmark with countless sessions. From light bops to urban slow numbers, the trio delivers modal jazz without any flair, with the best track being B3, which grooves along with the funky rhythms of DeJohnett and Pedersen.
