This album was released in 1981 from the series "76/45" by the DAM Promotion Committee, which introduced the latest analog manufacturing technologies of the 1980s, such as 76cm/2 tracks, 45rpm cutting with a quartz rock D.D. motor and diamond cutter needle, and heavy discs. It is a live recording of a concert held at Ishibashi Memorial Hall, and includes four songs by The Beatles covered by the New Vivaldi Orchestra under the direction of Masaaki Hayakawa on the A-side, choral pieces by the Tokyo Arakawa Boys and Girls Choir on the B-side, and two folk songs arranged by shakuhachi player Kuniyama Yamamoto as a guest. The B-side features a choral piece by the Tokyo Arakawa Boys and Girls Choir and two folk songs arranged by shakuhachi player Kuniyama Yamamoto. B3 "Yagi-bushi" and B4 "Komoro Bako-uta," featuring a splendid ensemble of strings and shakuhachi, are worth listening to. B1 by the Tokyo Arakawa Boys and Girls Choir is also good. And the sound quality is terribly high.
