An album released as the fifth installment of the <Musiques De L'Afrique Traditionnelle> series by the label Playa Sound, founded by French photographer Alain Normand, whose photographs taken during his travels across African countries have been featured on numerous record jackets. This album contains field recordings of traditional music from Senegal, located on the West African coast. It features a remarkable soundscape, where the primitive and authentic scenes of Senegal come to life through natural sounds such as birdsong, percussion, chants, and children's voices. Highly recommended in its entirety.
