This album contains field recordings of Tibetan esoteric music released in 1972 from the Musiques & Traditions du Monde series on CBS in France. It was produced by Hubert de Fraysseix, director of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, a government-funded research institute under the control of the French Ministry of Research established in 1939, and Jacques Brunet, a pianist and researcher of ethnic music mainly from Asia, and was recorded by Fraysseix himself in Tibet. Both sides are 25 minutes long, offering a sonic experience of the world of esoteric Buddhism. It is a powerful and rewarding listening experience. Please enjoy it as an avant-piece.
