This album was released in 1980 by Odyssey One, a compa band from the Caribbean island nation of Haiti that debuted in the late 1970s under the group name Deutz. The band's style is a blend of traditional Haitian religious music (Lala) and Caribbean dance music (Musica Racine, Merengue, etc.), but with added elements of disco and funk, and the introduction of synthesizers, the band's sound has become more danceable.
