The album was released in 1976 and features Okay Temiz, one of the most famous drummer/percussionists in the Turkish music scene, and Johnny Mbizo Dyani, a South African bassist known for his work with Don Cherry. The album also features Swedish violinist Saffet Gundeger, who played with Temiz in 1986, Turkish guitarist Oguz Abadan and Swedish saxophonist Gunnar Bergsten. Their 1973 collaboration "Music for Xaba", featured in the "Obscure Sound" guidebook, is excellent, but this album is also extremely strong. This is a masterpiece of oriental ethno-jazz with great energy and groove, featuring original compositions by both musicians, arrangements of traditional Turkish music and a score by Don Cherry. This is the original Turkish pressing.
There are many scratches on vinyl and a lot fo noises. Please be aware of this before buying.
