This is an album released in 1980 by Old and New Dreams, a group consisting of Don Cherry, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, and Eddie Blackwell, all members of the Ornette Coleman Group. It includes a recording of a live performance at the Theater am Kornmarkt in Bregenz, Austria, in the same year. Three songs by Coleman are featured, as well as one original each by Cherry, Redman, and Haden. It is wonderful to see Coleman's songs sublimated to a much higher level when it comes to this period. The four members' free and lively playing with a sense of realism that only live performances can provide, such as the ethnic jazz A2 composed by Cherry that plays African and Asian melodies, is the best. Original German pressing.
