JAPO (Germany) 1976
ST60012 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(PCOH, SRW, SOC, wear on edge and corner.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly surface noises.)
This album was released in 1976 by the German experimental jazz quartet OM, consisting of Urs Leimgruber (ss,ts,perc), Christy Doran (g), Bobby Burri (b) and Fredy Studer (ds,perc). A1 features a guitar and soprano saxophone layering mysterious phrases over the rhythm created by open, solid drums and a solid wood bass, while A2 is an experimental ethno jazz piece with a strong interplay between a flute that plays an earthy melody and a bass that plays a strong beat with a synth-like tone. Superb abstract jazz are going throughout the album. Highly recommended.
