This is the 1972 album by the American saxophonist Ornette Coleman, an influential figure often referred to as the father of free jazz, who had a profound impact on numerous musicians, including Don Cherry. The album features live recordings from a concert held in 1965 at Fairfield Hall in London Croydon, with a trio consisting of David Izenton (b) and Charles Moffett (ds). The recording includes various elements, such as duets between Coleman's violin and arco bass, trumpet and drums, and solo and ensemble parts involving all three musicians. Tracks like A1 showcase solos and ensemble interplay, while B2 highlights Coleman's distinct lyricism. The album captures a valuable performance from the European tour of the same period, reminiscent of the 1966 release "At The 'Golden Circle' Stockholm" on Blue Note. This reissue is likely from the early 1980s and comes from the German label Black Lion.
