An album released in 1980 by Osamu Shoji, one of Japan's leading synthesizer pioneers alongside Isao Tomita. Since the 1960s, Shoji had arranged numerous popular songs and composed music for television programs. In the 1970s, he created Japan's first domestically produced synthesizer works. This masterpiece, which includes compositions such as Jataka and Night Flight, showcases his exceptional talent. The album is themed around Shambhala, a legendary utopia passed down through Tibetan folklore. It features exquisite Oriental electronic music crafted using synthesizers such as the Roland System 700, ARP 2600, Oberheim Expander Module SEM-1, and Roland Vocoder Plus VP-330. Shoji’s unparalleled arrangement skills and the pure, warm tones of analog synthesizers transport the listener to a sonic paradise. The sound quality is simply outstanding.
