Papa Wemba is a Congolese singer and songwriter who began his career in 1969 with Zaiko Langa Langa, and after leaving the group, he led his own group, Viva La Musica, which gained international recognition in the 1980s with the wave of the world music movement. This album was released in 1989 by Wemba. This is a live album containing recordings of her performances in Japan, and is very mischievous from the Japanese greeting at the beginning. You can enjoy the cool polyrhythmic grooves of A2 and A4, and the high-tension, fast-paced A5, all of which can only be heard live. The medley on the B-side, which opens with a primitive African percussion solo and explodes with distorted guitar, is excellent.

A3: Bakuwetu
A4: Mukaji Wanyi
