This is the debut leader album from the world-renowned guitarist and composer Pat Metheny, released in 1976 on ECM, a record that needs no introduction. It features the participation of the genius bassist Jaco Pastorius and drummer Bob Moses, who also collaborated on an album released the same year by Improvising Artists Inc. The album consists of eight tracks, all composed by Pat Metheny himself. Although this album predates the introduction of guitar synthesizers, it already showcases Metheny's pastoral melodic work that would become synonymous with his later sound. Pay special attention to the gentle sound of the 6-string and 12-string guitars and Jaco Pastorius' singing-like electric bass. This is an US pressing with tulip’s etching on runout.
