This album was released in 1985 by the group Patanga, consisting of local musicians from the town of Hemmingen in central-northern Germany, seemingly crafted with the support of local backers and family members. It features a blend of multinational folk instruments such as sitar, pan flute, and tabla, alongside guitar, bass, and synthesizer, combining the roots music of each instrument into an acoustic ethno-music with a natural psychedelic ambiance. It's a truly obscure gem, highlighted in the guidebook "obscure sound," featuring artists like Zann and Wolfgang Barthel. Germany proves to be a treasure trove of high-quality ethnic music released on minor labels or privately, and there's still more to discover. Highly recommended.
