This is a solo piano album by Paul Bley, one of Canada's leading jazz pianists, has been active since the 1950s, playing with the Ornette Coleman Quartet, the Jazz Composer's Orchestra, and in his own groups, and has recorded numerous masterpieces. Recorded live at Axis in Soho, New York in 1977. After the radical experimentation of "Synthesize Show," which was very unique in Bley's career, he returned to acoustic and spun out melodies with a unique aesthetic sense using prepared techniques in this wonderful performance.
