One of Canada's leading jazz pianists, Paul Bley has been active since the 1950s and has recorded numerous masterpieces with his own groups, including with the Ornette Coleman Quartet and the Jazz Composer's Orchestra. Following his previous album "The Paul Bley Synthesizer Show", which made extensive use of Arp Synthesizer, this album is performed with Arp Synthesizer and RMI/Fender Rhodes electric piano, but the emphasis is not on synthesizer as much as the previous album. This is an electric jazz piece that attempts a groovy session with a great combination of David Holland (ds) and Barry Altschul (ds). This guy is great no matter what he does. Dave Holland is also great, showing off his rough technique of applying fuzz to the bass.
