An album released in 1982 by American jazz flutist Paul Horn, also known as one of the pioneers of new age music. Featured as a guest is David Mingyie Liang, a performer of the traditional Chinese string instrument guzheng, who also released solo works such as Dialogue with the Ocean. A truly सुंदर work of new age meditation music with a vast, continental sense of scale, evoking the mist-shrouded scenery of China’s legendary mountains. Highlights include A2, where the delicately intricate and graceful lines of the Chinese zither drift gently through space alongside the warm tone of Horn’s flute, and A4, with its soft flute arpeggios and the flowing, lyrical melody of the huqin.
