This is the first in the "Inside" series released in 1968 by American flutist Paul Horn, who has produced a number of meditative solo works utilizing the reverberant effects of various historical buildings. Recorded in the palace of the Taj Mahal in India, this album features Paul Horn's flute sounding ultra-spacial with natural reverberation, mixed with monks' chanting and other sounds to create an extraordinary meditative acoustic space. The concept is as great as the content, a truly organic sound world.
