Released in 1985 as part of the Made To Measure series from the high-quality Belgian label Crammed Discs, this is the first solo album by Peter Principle, a multi-instrumentalist from San Francisco who also worked with Tuxedomoon along with Blaine L. Reininger and Steven Brown. The album features aggressive electronic sounds reminiscent of Can and Holger Czukay's solo works, rhythmic programming with a somewhat primitive ethnic feel, and a cutting-edge electronic music that, while inheriting the decadence of Tuxedomoon, has a more experimental orientation. This home-recorded masterpiece is just shy of industrial, striking a perfect balance that never feels harsh, making it truly exceptional.
