Phew, a Japanese artist known for consistently delivering high-quality work since the release of her groundbreaking first album Phew, which featured full participation from Conny Plank, Holger Czukay, and Jaki Liebezeit, released her debut 7-inch single in 1980 under the production of Ryuichi Sakamoto. The sound of the single was also crafted in collaboration with Sakamoto, resulting in two completely unique avant-experimental tracks. With minimal and dope electronic tracks in the background, Phew's vocals—mysterious, poetic, and steeped in Japanese sentiment—lead listeners into a wonderfully strange world.

She is truly a remarkable artist who has consistently challenged new sounds from 1980 to the present. The outro of the A-side is cut into an endless loop, making it usable as a DJ tool as well.
