Swiss drummer Pierre Favre, who has demonstrated his talent in a wide range of genres from jazz to experimental, including participation in numerous ECM productions and collaborations with voice performer Tamia, released this astonishing solo album on his home label Gemini Records in 1981. The album is a completely solo improvised performance using a drum set up with a large number of cymbals of various sizes, as if the various sounds in nature, such as birdsong and thunder, were expressed only with drums. There is also a sense of ethnic feeling. It takes you to an amazing world when you let yourself be carried away by the rhythms scattered in the stereo space. Highly recommended.
