The debut album released in 1983 by the German Essen-based minor group Pohl Musik, formed by Karl-Heinz Bloman, Thomas Kammann, and Norbert Sollbach, leaving behind only two works. The album features avant-garde free music transcending genres, anchored by a hard-edged guitar sound. Tracks such as B1 showcase the mysterious unison of trombone and double bass, with saxophone and guitar swirling madly. The overall composition of the album, reminiscent of the likes of Elliott Sharp and Fred Frith, unfolds a unique and intriguing sonic landscape. The sound production is distinct and highly captivating.
