Since his debut album "Affenstunde" in 1970, which is a historical masterpiece that created Avant-psychedelic electronics by introducing a huge Moog synthesizer that he got from Klaus Shultze, Florian Fricke has left many masterpieces. This is a compilation of songs from Popol Vuh's 1979 album "Die Nacht Der Seele" released in 1981 on the American meditation/new age label Celestial Harmonics. Popol Vuh has often absorbed various kinds of ethnic music into his religious works, and this album features over 15 minutes of silent organic meditation on the theme of Tantric rituals, using side B in its entirety, as well as mysterious third world music and deep ambient music with a sacred atmosphere. deep ambient, all in a very nice flow. I recommend the entire collection.
