This album was released in 1983 on the German label BIS, by Swedish composer and electronic musician Ragnar Grippe, best known for his 1978 masterpiece Sand, which was also featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND. After studying music theory at Stockholm University, Grippe became fascinated with electronic music upon joining the Stockholm Electronic Music Studio. His debut album Sand was so striking that it left a lasting impact, but he continued to explore various forms of musical expression. In this work, he employs not only synthesizers but also the Synclavier, live instruments, and transfer radio to create a deep, dramatic, and grandiose suite. His exceptional talent as a composer shines through, while his experimental spirit draws the listener in completely.
