An album released in 1986 as part of the Image series from “Jet Stream”, the long-running Tokyo FM program that began broadcasting in 1967 and continues to this day. The record compiles works by Swedish national treasure and highly experimental composer/synthesist Ralph Lundsten, known for his numerous groundbreaking compositions. Under the theme of “Relaxation and Meditation,” the compilation features nine selections drawn from several of his classic albums, including Fadervår (1975), Nordisk Natursymfoni Nr. 2 “Johannes Och Huldran” (1975), Universe (1977) credited to Ralph Lundsten’s Universe Featuring The Andromeda All Stars — all of which were featured in the guidebook Obscure Sound Revised Edition — as well as Paradissymfonin (1980). Regardless of the concept behind the series, the album stands out as an excellent opportunity to experience Lundsten’s fantastical and timeless musical world.
