Ray Anderson, Mark Helias, Gerry Hemingway
You Be
Minor Music (Germany) 1986
007 (LP)
sleeve : EX+(very slightly wear on corner, still good condition.)
media : EX-/EX(some slightly surface noises. side A has some small and slightly hairlines that does not affect to sounds.)
This is the first trio album by three American musician, trombonist Ray Anderson, bassist Mark Helias, and percussionist Gerry Hemingway since "Oahspe" in 1979, released in 1986. All of the songs are original compositions by the three, but the performances are very interesting from start to finish, with a very witty approach and interplay that creates a mysterious world, even though the themes seem orthodox. The drumming of Hemingway, whose solo work "Tubworks" featured in the guidebook "OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION" was also excellent, as well as Helias' bass are also worth listening to.
