An album released in 1961 by American multi-instrumentalist Roland Kirk, who mastered many reed instruments such as saxophone, flute, and clarinet, and was active from the mid-1950s for many years. Released by Prestige, the album features a quartet with Jack McDuff (organ), Joe Benjamin (bass), and Arthur Taylor (drums). McDuff, a master of soul jazz, delivers a very impressive and groovy Hammond organ performance throughout, perfectly complementing Kirk's earthy saxophone and flute. The rhythm section also maintains a solid groove, resulting in an outstanding performance. The entire album is excellent. This is a German reissue from the 1980s, with excellent sound quality.
