This album was released by a group led by reed player Knut Rossler and guitarist Werner Goos, both of whom participated in the Fuchs-Goos-Band, which released the acclaimed album "Chameleon 2" in 1981 from German minor label Software. The group also features Stefan Traub on vibraphone, Johannes Schadlich on bass, and Janusz Stefancki on drums. Additionally, American pianist Hal Galper, who has collaborated with Terumasa Hino, is featured as a guest. While the album mainly showcases straight-ahead modal jazz and post-bop, the standout track is undoubtedly A3. It delivers deep spiritual jazz with aggressively explosive drumming and a saxophone performance that conveys a poignant, melancholic scene with nuanced playing. B1 offers a beautifully melancholic soundscape created by Knut Rossler's flute and Hal Galper's piano, while B2 is a superb track that maintains a cool tension with its brisk rhythm.
A3: Song for Eva
