Released in 1978, this is the leader album by Sadik Hakim, an American pianist who has been active on the front line since the 1940s and has played with many famous jazz musicians including Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker and Lester Young. The album was recorded in 1977 at a studio in New York with Errol Walters (b) and Al Foster (ds). All the songs on the album are original scores by Hakim, and the music ranges from light touch bops to moody ballads, with a super cool modal jazz with an adult urban atmosphere. It's austere. Highly recommended.

A2: Witches, Goblins, etc.
A3: Our Bossa Nova
