This album was featured in the first edition of the guidebook Obscure Sound. Released in 1986, it’s a standout work by Rio de Janeiro-based singer-songwriter Sandra Sá, who has left behind numerous excellent Brazilian soul recordings, characterized by her husky, expressive vocals and groovy sound production. Produced with support from Banda Black Rio, the iconic Carioca group known for their rare groove classics, the album is packed with breezy Brazilian groove tracks full of '80s free soul and AOR flavor—such as the uplifting A2, which flows like a gentle, refreshing wind. A masterpiece of disco-tropicália, it showcases infectious rhythms and top-tier production. Among the highlights, A5 stands out with its exceptional mellow saudade-infused vibe. Highly recommended. Original Brazilian pressing.
