Satin Whale
Lost Mankind
Telefunken/King Record (Japan) 1979
GXF 2047 (LP) w/insert.
sleeve : EX-(light wear on corner, light collapse on one corner, wrinkle.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly noise.)
Formed in Cologne, Germany, and debuting on the Brain label in 1974, Satin Whale was a hard-edged Krautrock band whose second album appeared in 1975. Strongly shaped by the talents of keyboardist Gerald Dellmann, who had a formal background in classical music, the record features a tight rhythm section combined with Hammond organ, Mini-Moog synthesizer, and harmonic choral work—delivering a distinctly German take on psychedelic prog with a gothic edge. This copy is the first Japanese pressing, released in 1979 by King Records as part of the European Rock Collection 1800 series.
