Tabu Ley Rochereau is one of the leading artists in the music scene of the Central African Republic, Congo, and became known worldwide with Papa Wemba and others in the world music movement that flourished in the 80's. He released two albums under the name Seigneur Ley in 1978. The album was released in the same 1978. It contains live recordings from his concert tours in Mali, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Congo and Zaire. The album features the warmth of the live instrumentation that characterized the rumba congolese of the 1970s, including a horn ensemble with a hint of Nigerian Afro-beat influence, and beautiful choral work by Mimi Ley, Kiesse, Yondho Nyota, Diassi and others.
