This is an album released in 1980 by Amano-kai, a taiko drum ensemble from Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, organized by Sen Amano. It includes live recording tracks from their performance at the Montreux International Festival held in Montreux, Switzerland in the same year. While the previous year saw the release of "Fuurinkazan," featuring a taiko ensemble with a total of 30 performers, this live recording showcases a performance by a group of 10 players. Nevertheless, the performance is incredibly powerful, featuring the ebb and flow of dynamics created by the intense pounding of large taiko drums reminiscent of earth-shaking sounds and the lively rhythm of small taiko drums. It's a magnificent display. This group is on par with Ondekoza, another renowned taiko ensemble. The album is released under the Master Sound series, utilizing Sony's cutting-edge high-fidelity recording technology.
