Japanese guitarist Hiroaki Sugawara, known for his work on recordings by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi, as well as for his wide-ranging performances and arrangements across numerous genres, released this CD album in 2002 under the name Sergio Maria Saguaro — now available on vinyl for the first time. A truly wonderful work of paradise-minded music, the album unfolds through beautifully pared-back yet deeply expressive acoustic guitar melodies, mysterious-toned synthesizers, and minimal kalimba and percussion phrases that evoke the scenery of a dense tropical forest. The LP release is said to have come about after Kohei Goka of Goka Sound Research Laboratory discovered the original CD.
