The Swiss progressive rock group SFF, consisting of Eduard Schicke, Gerd Fuhrs, and Heinz Fröhling, released their third album in 1979 on the legendary Krautrock label Brain. The production was handled by Dieter Dierks, also known for his work with Ash Ra Tempel and Cosmic Jokers. Highlights include the medium-tempo space rock of track A2, with its fat drumming, resonant arpeggiated synths, and soaring electric guitar, and the slow-burning B2, where Minimoog and Mellotron textures gradually expand into a vast cosmic soundscape. The sense of synth-driven buildup throughout is simply phenomenal.
A2: Song from India
B2: Slow Motion
