sleeve : EX-(slightly color-faded, some very slightly dirts.)

Second album by German lead player Sibylee Pomorin, who studied saxophone and composition at Munster music school with Dieter Schnebel and John Tchicai and made her album debut in 1984. She joined with Klaus Wilmanns (b) and Olivier Robin (dr), all of whom are local German musicians. This is a rather minor piece, but it is very good. From the opening track with a minimal melody of piano and tenor saxophone in flight, to A1 with deep effects and deep shadows, to B2 with voice performance and piano floating in the sound field with similarly deep effects processing, it is hard to believe that this is a minor release, but it is extremely excellent. Highly recommended.

A1: Winds and Waves
B2: Die Macht der Musik
