This album, released in 1984, is by Simone, a singer representing the second generation of Brazilian MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), active since the 1970s. Cesar Camargo Mariano participates in the album, playing keyboards and handling the arrangements. Featuring compositions by some of Brazil's most renowned composers, such as João Bosco, Edu Lobo, Chico Buarque, Ivan Lins, Lô Borges, and Roberto Carlos/Erasmo Carlos, the album covers a range of styles from samba, bossa nova, and batucada to ballads, all presented with an essential sound that heavily incorporates digital synthesizers.
