DJ Sinkichi, who has played as drummer with bands such as Soft, AOA, and Based on Kyoro, and who, during his time living in Okinawa, also worked creatively as Churashima Navigator by blending Ryukyu folk music with modern dance music, delivers his latest album, now available on cassette. Built from field recordings captured during the pandemic and extensive use of modular synthesizers, the result is a superb work of avant-electronic music of remarkable purity, transcending genres from ambient to experimental sound.
