Live

Serious Music (US) 1981
1000 (LP)

sleeve : M(IN SHRINK)
media : EX/EX(some slightly surface noises. A1/B1 has slightly wear that does not affect to sounds.)

This album was released in 1981 by Norris Jones, aka Sirone, an American bassist who has played on many of Cecil Taylor's albums as well as Pharoah Sanders' classic 1973 Strata-East album Isipho Zam (My Gifts). The album was recorded live at a concert at The Public Theater in New York City in 1980 with Claude Lawrence (as) and Dennis Charles (ds). Sirone also plays bass, Indian flute and trombone. The live performance is tense, and the ethnic free jazz is particularly wonderful, such as Sirone's Indian flute solo A1, and B2, which is similar to Masahiko Togashi and Milford Graves.
