"This is a 1978 album released by American pianist Stanley Cowell, the founder of the prestigious Black Jazz label, Strata-East. The album features a stellar lineup including Eddie Henderson (trumpet), Julian Priester (trombone), Clifford Coulter (guitar), Keith Hatchel (bass), Albert “Tootie” Heath (drums), and Kenneth Nash (percussion), along with two vocalists, Loretta Devine and Charles B. Fowlkes Jr. The standout tracks on this album are the instrumental version of disco-infused jazz-funk on A1 and the vocal version on B1. However, the album is also packed with other excellent tracks in the disco/soul style that you don't often hear in Cowell's other works. Highly recommended."
