This album by Steve Reich, one of the most important composers of contemporary/minimal music, was released in 1985 and consists of five movements of desert music based on a poem by Williams Carlos Williams. The five movements are composed of three patterns, and the album ends with the fifth movement, which is a homologue of the first movement. Steve Reich's music has a religious feel to it. Highly recommended. First German pressing with direct metal mastering.
