An album released in 1985 by one of the most important composers in Contemporary/Minimal Music, Steve Reich. It consists of five movements inspired by the poetry of Williams Carlos Williams, with these five movements composed of combinations of three patterns, and it closes with the fifth movement, which corresponds to the first movement. Featuring the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra and chorus, the music expresses a profoundly spiritual atmosphere as the waves of sound surge and recede. Steve Reich's music undeniably carries a sense of the sacred. Highly recommended. This is the German first pressing with direct metal mastering.
