This was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. A superb album by the lone American guitarist Steve Tibbetts, released on ECM in 1984. In addition to percussionist Marc Anderson, a close friend of Tibbetts since his self-produced days, this album also features musicians on bass and tabla. The album is an endlessly spiritual world that depicts a magnificent landscape of intense sounds bursting with percussion and distorted guitars that resonate in the earth, and acoustic sounds that seem to ring out beyond the horizon, surging in and out like waves. This is truly the music of Steve Tibbetts, which does not fit into any one category. This is a masterpiece. Original German pressing.
