The first edition of the guidebook "obscure sound" featured the classic 1984 album "Flashback" by bassist Paolo Damiani, with Eugeno Colombo, Martin Joseph, and Michele Iannaccone. Released in 1978 by the Strutture Di Supporto Quartet, a one-off group, on Serie Jazz Contemporaneo, a sub-label of Dischi Della Quercia. It is a very aggressive free jazz piece with several themes, but mostly developed through almost improvised interplay, and the performance is tense and thrilling, with ethnic sentiments hidden at some points.
