CIOE’…
Serie Jazz Contemporaneo (Italy) 1978
Q 28006 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(light spots, some slightly dirts.)
media : EX-/EX-(some light noise caused by slightly hairlines.)
This is a 1978 album by the one-off group Strutture Di Supporto Quartet, led by bassist Paolo Damiani—who was also featured in the first edition of the guidebook Obscure Sound for his 1984 masterpiece Flashback—joined by Eugenio Colombo, Martin Joseph, and Michele Iannaccone. Released on the sub-label Serie Jazz Contemporaneo of Dischi Della Quercia. While there are a few thematic pieces, the majority of the album unfolds through highly aggressive free jazz, developed with interplay bordering on improvisation. Ethnic nuances occasionally surface, and the tense, thrilling performances throughout are truly outstanding. Highly recommended.
