Sumire Yoshihara is a Japanese percussionist who has received recognition abroad, including the premiere of Toshi Ichiyanagi's percussion composition "Arrangements" at the Meta Musik Festival held in Berlin, Germany in 1976, organized by Walter Bachauer. This is an album she released in 1983. <This fifth volume of "The World of Percussion" features solo percussion pieces composed by pianists Takashi Kako, Hinoharu Matsumoto, and Ken Tanaka. B1 by Masashi Tanaka is nearly 18 minutes long, and the Afro-minimalist beat in the second half draws you in.
