A masterpiece album released in 1974 by King Sunny Ade and His African Beats, the leading figure in Nigeria’s juju music. This is an early work from before he started using the name King Sunny Ade. Curiously, Vol. 6 to Vol. 12 were released between 1972 and 1974 by African Son Ltd., but this Vol. 1 was released on his own label, Sunny Alade, after ending that contract. You can enjoy the relaxed and tropical taste of Yoruba music, before it was polished by French producer Martin Meissonnier. This is the original Nigerian pressing.
