An album released in 1970 as the third installment of BYG's Actuel series by American jazz drummer Sunny Murray, who participated in many sessions as a sideman for Cecil Taylor and Albert Ayler, and also released numerous works with his own group. This intense masterpiece features musicians who had gathered in Paris at the time, such as Roscoe Mitchell, Lester Bowie, Malachi Favors, Alan Silva, Clifford Thornton, Arthur Jones, Dave Burrell, Archie Shepp, Kenneth Terroade, Earl Freeman, Grachan Moncur III, and Jeanne Lee, creating a primitive world that evokes Africa. The long-form Afro-ethnic jazz on Side A is particularly noteworthy.
