This is the 1966 album released by the American jazz drummer Sunny Murray on ESP Disk. Known for his contributions as a collaborator with Cecil Taylor and Albert Ayler, Murray also left a significant body of work with his own groups. The album features a quintet with Byard Lancaster (as), Jacques Coursil (b), Jack Graham (as), and Alan Silva (b). The recording captures an aggressive and expansive session, with Murray's Afro-Primitive drumming at the core, while Lancaster and Graham's alto saxophones howl and cry throughout the entire session. This reissue is likely from the early 1980s and comes from the Italian label Base Record.
