This is an album released in 1978 by Sunny Murray's group, Sunny Murray’s Untouchable Factor, led by the American jazz drummer who participated in numerous sessions as a right-hand man to Cecil Taylor and Albert Ayler, as well as leaving many works with his own group. The album features Frank Foster (ss), Oliver Lake (as), Jimmy Vass (as), Youseff Yancy (reed), Don Pullen (p), Monnette Sudler (g), Cecil McBee (b), Hamiet Bluiett (bs), Arthur Blythe (as), Fred Hopkins (b), Abdul Zahir Batin (ft, per), and Sonny Brown (ds). While the avant-garde approach of the ensemble surging in B1 is exceptional with its depth, the lively boogie-woogie rhythm intertwined with Sudler's echoed guitar and Pullen's piano in A1, and the spiritual slow number A2 evoking mystical scenery are highly recommended.
